The Excellence in Holography Awards , sponsored by Holography News, are presented annually by the International Hologram Manufacturers Association to recognise outstanding holographic projects of the previous year. The awards are made to companies with hologram products or techniques which represent the best in the industry for innovation and commercial potential.

The awards include categories for:

• Innovation in Holographic Technology
• Best Origination
• Best Applied Security Product
• Best Applied Decorative Product 

The Brian Monaghan Award for Business Innovation is made to an individual chosen by the IHMA who has made a major contribution to the development of holography.

The 2011 awards were presented during the Holo-pack•Holo-print conference dinner, which took place November 9-11 in Las Vegas.
